Hadith 30:

Anas bin Malik (ra) narrated: The Prophet (Peace be upon him) said:

“Nobody who enters Paradise likes to go back to the worlds even if he got everything on earth, except a martyr who wishes to return to the world so that he may be martyred ten times because of the honor and dignity he received.”

(Sahih Bukhari, Vol 4, Hadith 72)

Hadith 28 and 29

Abu Said Al-Khudri (ra) narrated : Allah’s Messenger (Peace be upon him) said:

“if a person embraces Islam sincerely, then Allah shall forgive his past sins, and after than starts the settlement of accounts: the reward of his good deeds will be ten times to seven hundred times for each good deed, and an evil deed will be recorded as it is unless Allah forgives it.”

(Sahih Bukhari Vol. 1 Hadith 40A)

One more similar Hadith

Abu Hurairas (ra) Narrated: Allah’s Messenger (peace be upon him) said:

“If any one of you improves (follows strictly) his Islamic religion, then his good deeds will be rewarded ten times to seven hundred times for each good deed and a bad deed will be recorded as it is.”

(Sahih Bukhari, Vol 1 , Hadith 40B)

Any form of innovation in religion will be rejected

Hadith 26 and 27:

Aisha (Raa) Narrated: Allah’s Messenger (peace be upon him) said:

” If somebody innovates something which is not present in our religion (of islamic monotheism), then that thing will be rejected”
(Sahih Bukhari Vol 3, Hadith no.861)

In another Hadith Aishah (Raa) Narrated: Allah’s Messenger (peace be upon him) said:

“Whoever performs a (good) deed which we have not ordered (anyone) to do (or is not in accord with or religion of Islamic Monotheism),then that deed will be rejected and not be accepted.”
(Sahih Bukhari, Vol 9, Chapter 20 before Hadith No 449)

Comments: For the acceptance of any righteous deeds it is stipulated that the following two basic conditions must be fullfilled:

  1. The intentions of doing such deeds must be totally for Allah’s sake only without any show-off or to gain praise or fame.
  2. Such a deed must be performed in accordance with the Sunnah of Allah’s Messenger Muhammad bin Abdullah (peace be upon him)

Hence it is very important for all muslims to learn the right way to perform any good deed other wise it will be rejected, thereby gaining knowledge about the sunnah is very important.

A black dot is dotted on the heart of a person who commits a sin…

Hadith 25:

Abu Hurairah (raa) narrated: Allah’s Messenger May peace be upon Him said :

“When a slave (a person) commits a sin (an evil deed) a black dot is dotted on his heart. Then if that person gives up that evil deed (sin), begs Allah to forgive him, and repents, then his heart is cleared (from that heart covering dot); but if he repeats the evil deed (sin), then that covering is increased till his heart is completely covered with it. And this is Ar-Ran that Allah mentioned (in the Quran),

“Nay! but on their hearts is the Ar-Ran (covering of evil deeds and sins) which they used to earn” (83:14)”

At-Tirmidhi, Vol 5 , Hadith No: 3334

No prayer is harder for a hypocrite than Fajr and Isha Prayers

Hadith no 24:

Abu Hurairah (Raa) Narrated : The Prophet peace be upon him said :

“No Salat (prayer) is heavier (harder) for the hypocrites than the Fajr and the Isha prayers,
but if they knew the reward of these Salat (prayers) at their respective times, they would
certainly present themselves (in the mosques) even if they have to crawl.”

The Prophet peace be upon Him added:

” Certainly I intended (or was about) to order the muadhdhin (call-maker) to pronounce the iqamah and order a man to lead the salat (prayer) and then take a fire flame to burn all those (men along with their houses) who had not yet left their houses for salat (prayer) (in the mosques).
Sahih Bukhari Vol 1 Hadith no 626

Comments: This Hadith tells us the importance of praying Fajr and Isha prayer on time and that not praying them on time or completely avoiding them is a characterestic of a Hypocrite of Islam ( ie a person who behaves outwardly as muslim but has no faith inside him)Also in the second part of hadith prophet peace be upon him gives stern warning to people who don’t offer salat in mosque and in congregation.

Hadith 23:

Abu Dharr (May Allah be pleased with him) said: The Prophet (Peace be upon him) observed:

“There are three (types of) people to whom Allah will neither speak on the Day of Resurrection nor look at them nor purify them, and they will have a painful chastisement.”

The Messenger of Allah (Peace be upon him) repeated it three times. Abu Dharr (May Allah be pleased with him) remarked:”They are ruined. Who are they, O Messenger of Allah?” Upon this, the Messenger of Allah (Peace be upon him) said,

“One who lets down his lower garments (below his ankels) out of arrogance, one who boasts of his favours done to another; and who sells his goods by taking a false oath.”

Hadith No 22:

Abu Huraira (Allah be pleased with him) reported Allah’s Messenger (may peace be upon him) as saying:
A woman may be married for four reasons: for her property, her status. her beauty and her religion, so try to get one who is religious, may your hand be besmeared with dust ( i.e may you prosper)

Sahih Muslim, Kitab Al Nikah, Hadith no 3457

Same Hadith is narrated in Sahih Bukari as follows.

Narrated Abu Huraira:

The Prophet said, “A woman is married for four things, i.e., her wealth, her family status, her beauty and her religion. So you should marry the religious woman (otherwise) you will be a losers.

Hadith 19 and 20:

The right of a muslim upon another muslim is that his greeting should be responded

Abu Huraira(raa) reported Allah’s Messenger may peace be upon him as saying :
“Six are the rights of a muslim over another muslim ” It was then said to him Allah’s Messenger (may peace be upon him) “What are these ?”
Thereupon he said:
“When you meet him offer him greetings, when he invites you to feast accept it, when he seeks your council give him,
and when he sneezes and says “Alhamdulillah” you say Yarhamuk Allah (may Allah show mercy on you),
and when he falls sick visit him, and when he dies follow his bier (janaazah)

Similarly there is one more Hadith

Abu Huraira(raa).reported Allah’s Messenger may peace be on him as saying:
“Five are the rights of a muslim over his brother: Responding to salutation, saying YarhamukAllah when somebody sneezes and says Alhamdulillah,
visiting the sick, following the bier(janaazah).”

Hadith no 5379 and 5378, Sahih Muslim, Kitab-as-salaam

PS: Some of you might have noticed that second hadith says 5 things but mentions only 4 things, i checked at quite a few places but found same hadith everywhere if any one knoes the correct one kindly let me know.
